In the recent annual review of restaurant apps conducted by Restaurant Business, six Punchh developed apps (Freebirds World Burrito, Taco John’s, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Mooyah, LYFE Kitchen, and Quiznos) appeared on the list and scored higher in areas of Design, Ease of Use, And Features compared to the competition.
Below, we analyzed how these apps fared against the competition in terms of these three criteria:
The apps for Freebirds World Burrito, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Mooyah, and LYFE Kitchen all received a rating of 4 out of 5. Quiznos and Taco John’s apps come out on top with the highest ratings, scoring a 4.5 and 3 out of 5 respectively. These scores average to an overall 3.9 for Punchh.
Ease of Navigation
Punchh scored the highest average of 4.3 in terms of ease of navigation. The Punchh-developed apps for Moe’s Southwest Grill and Quiznos scored a perfect rating of 5 in this respect, while the Freebirds World Burrito, Taco John’s, LYFE Kitchen apps all scoring excellent marks at 4. Mooyah’s app weighs in with a respectable score of 3.5.
Both Moe’s Southwest Grill’s and LYFE Kitchen’s apps take top scores of 4.5, with Freebirds World Burrito’s, Mooyah’s, and Quiznos Toasty Points apps coming in at 4, and Taco John’s app scoring a 3.5. Collectively, Punchh scores an impressive average of 4.1 in building for user-friendliness.
Other apps included in the testing were those of Starbucks, Applebee’s, Chick-Fil-A, White Castle, Church’s Kitchen, Dunkin Donuts, Chipotle, and Baskin Robbins. Individually, the apps of established brands such as Starbucks, White castle, and Chick-Fil-A came out with high averages.
Since users, on average, maintain less than 3 restaurant apps on their mobile devices, restaurants aggressively competing for market share need to ensure that their mobile presence is as compelling as their actual products.
